We will accept virtually all non-modified vehicles that are preferably under 10 years old with odometers at 100,000 miles or less. You can also trade in a converted mobility vehicle from Braun, VMI, Rollx, and, even a AMS converted handicap vans.

Ricon Klearvue Platform Wheelchair Lift

The Ricon Klearvue mobility platform lift utilizes a horizontal folding design to eliminate dangerous blind spots, which leaves an unobstructed view for full-size mobility van drivers as well as passengers.

The BL-6290 Base Lock:

The heart of the EZ LOCK System. The casing is sturdy 3/16 inch powder coated steel. Locking Jaws are 1/4 inch steel coated with a permanently bonded lubricant. Entry into lock is mechanical and the release is attained by an electrical pull solenoid. There is an emergency mechanical release that is also incorporated as a safety measure (in case the vehicle loses battery power). The base lock is mounted to the vehicle floor and acts as a receiver for the interfacing pin that is mounted to the wheelchair.


BL-7317 Docking Base:

The new BL-7317 Docking Base is a product that has been based on over twenty years of research, testing, and hands on experience. The design is based on the BL-6290 Docking Base, which is time tested and has proven to perform extremely well. The BL-7317 had additional features such as a longer service life, as well as simplifying routine maintenance.


The Wheelchair Bracket:

The interface bracket is mounted to the wheelchair allowing it to lock into the BL-6290 docking base. The EZ Lock system can accommodate a wide array of wheelchair styles, including both manual and power wheelchairs. Although we provide an interface for most of the wheelchairs currently on todays market, it is advisable to first check with EZ LOCK, or your local adaptive equipment dealer, to ensure that we have a system appropriate for your particular wheelchair. When consulting your dealer about availability it is helpful to have the name of the manufacturer, your wheelchair model and model number, and to note any accessories that might interfere with the bracket installation (i.e. reclining or elevating seat, vent tray etc).

The ECU-3 Control Panel:

The Main User Interface for EZ LOCK System. Functions include release, alarm buzzer deactivation for unoccupied use, and an array of warning indicators. A green light signifies locking jaws are completely closed and system is safe to use. A yellow light means locking jaws are not completely closed, and that the user should exit and then re-enter base lock. Red light indicates system has been deactivated and is for unoccupied use only.

The QRT Max offers greater safety and convenience and continues to remain a dependable product. Compared to its other restraints, the QRT Max offers improvements in a number of areas. For example the Positive Lock Indicator confirms that the base is secured to the track. Also, this new design is so compact that most footrests are able to easily clear the QRT Max when entering and exiting the van.

Installation and Operation
A qualified person (an individual properly trained in securing mobility aides and positioning occupant restraints) must ensure that the intended application conforms to current, applicable industry standards and government regulations regarding the installation of wheelchair securement and occupant restraint systems.


The vehicle and/or seat manufacturer and/or vehicle modifier must review and approve the system’s location, method of installation and operation of the securement system. The vehicle floor and sidewall structures, where the system anchorages are attached, must have sufficient strength to meet applicable federal government and recommended industry standards.

Not all wheelchairs (e.g. scooter) are endorsed by their manufacturer for use as an occupant seat when transporting an individual in a motor vehicle. Contact the manufacturer of your wheelchair for their recommendation regarding alternative seating options.

Some wheelchairs are compliant with the ANSI/RESNA transit safety standard WC-19, which means that they have been dynamically tested. To determine if your wheelchair is ANSI/RESNA WC-19 compliant, refer to your wheelchair’s labeling or owner’s manual or contact the wheelchair manufacturer.

The bent brake rod allows mounting the handle control higher in the vehicle to provide more driver convenience and comfort. The exclusive center pivot of our control allows the grip to be pivoted away from the door for more hand clearance and is recommended by driver evaluators. This hand control can be equipped with a foam handle or horn and dimmer switches. Also available with a foam grip.

The offset handle is fully adjustable 360° to provide additional knee clearance, more leverage, or to locate the handle closer to the turn signal. Short History of the Steering Knob

Brodie knobs were used on trucks before the advent of power steering. Their main use today is still in trucks, particularly semi trucks where they allow simultaneous steering and operation of the radio. They also see extensive use on forklift trucks used in warehouses and even riding lawnmowers, where frequent sharp turning is required while moving about.


Brodie Knobs were widely popular (especially on the west coast of the U.S.), during the 1950s. Their intention was to be used primarily as addition to a Hot Rod. The knob was used to spin the steering wheel, rapidly in one direction or the other, while accelerating, to cause the tire(s) to spin. Hence, come the terms "lay a brodie" and "Slob the knob".


In the 1950s and 60's a person could go into any local mechanics shop and choose from a large variety of "Brodie Knobs", with every conceivable theme, from "Candy Apple colored", product logos, to nude women, and everything in between, some automobile dealerships even used them for advertisements.

Left Foot Accelerator By Automotive Innovations is a leader in design & quality. The (LFA) is extremely adjustable allowing it to be used in virtually any vehicle. The (LFA) is also equipped with a quick disconnect allowing (LFA) to be released and removed from the vehicle when not in use. Only the mounting plate is permanently mounted to the floor. LFA The (LFA) was designed for the driver that has lost control of only his right foot.

The Left Foot Accelerator, like model 3545S, is an accelerator pedal for persons with limited or no use of the right leg requiring them to drive with their left leg. It is equipped with a guard to prevent the driver from inadvertently resting their right foot on the accelerator pedal. The Left Foot Accelerator incorporates a quick release mechanism and is easily removable without tools.

A left foot accelerator pedal device which allows persons lacking sufficient functionality of the right foot or right leg to operate a motor vehicle accelerator pedal using their left foot. The device incorporates an accelerator pedal activator which engages the motor vehicle accelerator pedal and is operable attached by a main shaft to a left side accelerator pedal. The main shaft is supported by a base unit which is removable attached to a base plate affixed to the vehicle floor. By depressing left side accelerator pedal a person lacking functionality of the right foot may operate the vehicle while the device may be easily removed from base plate allowing a person of normal functionality to operate the vehicle.

A Quick Release Left Foot Gas Pedal with Pedal Guards allows the driver to accelerate with the left foot. This pedal is installed on the left side and is mechanically linked to the original manufacturers pedal. The Pedal Guard shields the original pedal thereby making it inoperable. This quality crafted pedal is fully adjustable. The lightweight design of the pedal along with its quick release feature makes it quick and easy to remove and install, as the Left Foot Accelerator. A Pedal with Pedal Guard slides in and out of a base that is bolted to the floor. This makes the a Left Foot Accelerator Pedal with a Pedal Guard is a smart choice.

Pedal Extensions

Automotive innovations’s gas and brake pedal extensions adjust to allow 6" to 12" or longer if necessary of extended reach. Made of durable lightweight aluminum or steel, Pedal Extensions provide comfortable driving after installation. Pedal Extensions fold down out of the way to allow other persons to operate the vehicle. Pedal extensions must be installed by authorized dealers. They fit most American cars and vans.


Left Foot Gas Pedal

Designed for people with limited or no use of their right foot, the quick release left foot gas pedal enables those drivers to utilize their left foot for gas operation. The pedal can be installed in any vehicle with an automatic transmission. No adjustments are necessary after installation, and the unit can easily be removed to allow other drivers to operate the vehicle. A pedal stop is part of the unit, and will not allow the right foot to inadvertently apply throttle.


Block Pedal Extensions

Our pedal extensions are fabricated from structural aluminum tubing with a non-skid surface. They have adjustable slots for two stainless steel clamps that go around the gas and brake pedals (can also be modified for clutch pedal extensions). Standard sizes range from 1" to 4" high. This is a semi-permanent installation.

Safety

Sure Grip’s unique 15 second activation window only allows the accelerator to be activated for 15 seconds after vehicles start up. The accelerator will not engage after 15 seconds without a restart of the engine.

Installation

Gas & Brake Pedal Extenders:

Sitting too close to a driver-side airbag is not only uncomfortable, but dangerous as well! The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recommend that drivers be seated as far away from the steering wheel of the vehicle they’re driving as possible. A common rule of thumb is to have a distance of no less than 10” between the wheel and the driver. Sitting closer than this can put you at a higher risk of injury if you’re in an accident and you airbag deploys.


While the option exists to disconnect your airbag, doing so renders one of your vehicle’s most important and effective safety features useless. Fortunately, with pedal extenders you can drive safely and confidently! The operation is simple:

Step 1 – Activate the scan by pushing the switch.
Step 2 – When the desired function is heard, activate the switch again and the function begins!!


Activate the switch and a voice (yours if you like) announces the functions. When the desired function is heard, activate the switch again to select the function. VoiceScan can be programmed in either one or two channel mode. The one channel mode allows all functions to be operated from a single switch, while the two channel mode allows for two priority functions. In either mode, VoiceScan can control up to 16 functions. Voice Scan is field programmable-it can be customized at your shop! And, like our Touch Pads and Elbow Pads, VoiceScan can be used with any vehicle function.
